Also known as "Part C" or "MA Plans", these plans are offered by private companies that are approved by Medicare. They provide all of your Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance) coverage, and usually include drug coverage (Part D). Medicare Advantage Plans can offer extra coverage, such as vision, hearing, dental, and/or health and wellness program
This coverage can help pay for hospitalization, surgery, radiation/chemotherapy and more. You can choose between three options on the Cancer and Specified Disease Plan: Low, High or Premium. All three options cover the same type of services. In most cases, the amount of coverage differs based on the option chosen.
Hospital indemnity protection is a supplemental insurance plan that pays a cash benefit to the policyholder if they are hospitalized for a covered illness or injury:
Fills gaps in Original Medicare: Covers out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.
• No network restrictions: You can visit any Medicare-accepting provider nationwide.
• Predictable costs: Some plans offer more stable, predictable out-of-pocket expenses.
• Travel flexibility: Some Medigap plans offer coverage for emergency care while traveling outside the U.S.
Routine care: Covers services like cleanings, exams, x-rays, and fillings.
• Major dental services: May include coverage for crowns, root canals, dentures, and other more complex dental procedures.
• Low or no out-of-pocket costs: Many dental plans offer affordable monthly premiums and lower copays for in-network services.
• Flexibility: Some plans allow you to visit any dentist, while others may offer more savings through a network of providers.
Routine eye exams: Coverage for regular eye exams to detect vision changes and eye diseases.
• Eyeglasses and contact lenses: Most plans offer coverage for prescription glasses, lenses, or contact lenses after a covered eye exam.
• Discounts on eyewear: Many plans offer discounts or allowances for eyewear, often giving you access to a large network of optical providers.
• Access to specialists: Some plans may cover visits to optometrists or ophthalmologists for additional care like glaucoma testin
